Recognising the scale of this problem and the transformative potential of a well-executed digital solution, Evento partnered with Square1 to design and build a modern, scalable, and secure white-label platform that would empower organisations across the continent to fully digitise their operations, while simultaneously creating a new opportunity to earn revenue on every transaction processed through the system.

Evento is an innovative B2B SaaS white-label platform purpose-built to simplify and modernise event management for sports, creative, and community organisations, as well as the associations, governing bodies, and agencies that support and serve them. Square1 was brought on as the trusted technology partner to bring this ambitious vision to life, taking on the challenge of designing and building a robust, scalable platform that would empower organisations to offer their own fully branded event management solutions to their networks. The goal was clear — to create a single, cohesive platform through which organisations could manage everything from sign-ups and registrations to payments and on-the-day check-ins, whilst simultaneously generating a sustainable revenue stream on each transaction processed through their branded instance of the platform.

From the outset, the solution was required to be mobile-first, highly intuitive, and secure, reflecting the diverse and varied nature of its intended user base, which spans non-technical event organisers operating at a grassroots level through to large-scale administrators managing complex, multi-tiered organisations. Square1's team rose to this challenge by delivering a sophisticated full-stack web application built on Laravel and seamlessly integrated with Stripe Connect, incorporating flexible pricing structures, fully customisable registration flows, real-time reporting capabilities, and automated communications to streamline every aspect of the event management process. Today, Evento continues to grow and expand its reach across Europe, providing white-label platforms that support organisations across multiple sectors — all underpinned by the powerful, future-proof technology that Square1 developed and continues to evolve.

The Challenge

Evento approached Square1 with a clear and well-defined vision: to launch a digital-first, scalable platform that would allow organisations to offer their networks a fully branded, professional, and user-friendly system for managing registrations and payments with ease. Their business model was built around creating a solution that could simultaneously meet the day-to-day operational needs of clubs and event organisers, whilst generating a consistent and reliable revenue stream for the parent organisation on every transaction processed through the platform. Achieving this dual objective required careful and considered planning, with the platform needing to strike a precise balance between commercial functionality and genuine usability for a broad and diverse range of end users.

The technical and operational challenges involved in bringing this vision to life were considerable. The platform needed to be robust enough to handle real-time payments, varied and granular user permissions, and highly flexible pricing structures, whilst remaining intuitive and accessible for non-technical event organisers with little to no prior experience of digital management tools. It also had to be fully mobile-responsive, multilingual, and compliant with GDPR regulations — essential requirements given the platform's intended reach across multiple European markets. Beyond these foundational requirements, the system needed to support a rich and growing ecosystem of events, ranging from summer camps and weekly classes to large-scale competitions, with a comprehensive suite of built-in features including custom registration questions, discount codes, branded event pages, automated email communications, and on-the-day check-in tools. Above all, the platform had to be genuinely scalable and secure, providing Evento's clients with complete control over payouts and reporting, and empowering them to grow their operations confidently without placing an ever-increasing burden on their administrative teams.

Square1 designed and built a full-featured, white-label web platform with a secure and robust backend, integrating Stripe Connect at its core to power payments at scale across Evento's growing network of organisations. A particularly critical element of the solution was the inclusion of a super-admin layer, providing parent organisations with complete visibility and granular control over all connected accounts, transaction fees, and payouts — ensuring transparency and commercial oversight at every level of the platform's operation.

The platform was delivered with a comprehensive suite of carefully considered features designed to meet the needs of every stakeholder in the event management journey. Organiser-facing capabilities include mobile-friendly, fully branded registration pages with customisable forms and multilingual support, ensuring accessibility and professionalism across diverse markets. Secure payment collection is handled seamlessly via Stripe, supporting Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major card payments, whilst flexible payout management enables daily, weekly, or monthly bank transfers to suit the varying cash flow needs of different organisations. Event day operations are supported through a dedicated organiser app featuring QR-code check-ins, detailed attendee profiles, and guardian contact information, streamlining what has traditionally been one of the most logistically challenging aspects of event management. Organisers also benefit from custom discount codes and add-on options, automated branded email communications, and intuitive dashboards for tracking attendee status, managing communications, and exporting data with ease.

Since its launch, Evento has achieved a series of impressive and far-reaching milestones that clearly demonstrate the platform's impact and commercial viability. White-label platforms have been successfully deployed for sports organisations, clubs, and associations across multiple countries, whilst organisations utilising the platform have reported reductions in manual administration of up to 70%, representing a transformative improvement in operational efficiency and a significant freeing up of valuable time and resources. Faster payouts delivered through Stripe's customisable schedules have meaningfully improved cash flow for end clients, and the platform's fully branded communications and automation tools have driven high levels of user engagement across every deployment. Perhaps most tellingly, the platform's thoughtful self-service design has enabled it to function as a scalable, revenue-generating solution that requires minimal direct support — a critical factor in its ability to grow efficiently and sustainably across an expanding network of organisations.

The true versatility and flexibility of the Evento platform has been proven across a remarkably wide and diverse range of activities, from summer camps and weekly training sessions to dance workshops, sailing events, and community programmes of all shapes and sizes. Today, Evento proudly powers multiple successful white-label versions, including Camps for Clubs and ClubZap in the sports sector, and Apúntate for social and community activities, with football associations and both public and private sector event organisers now running their own fully branded versions of the platform. This breadth of adoption speaks volumes about the robustness and adaptability of the solution that Square1 helped bring to life. With a strong and proven technological foundation firmly in place, Evento continues to scale its operations, expand its white-label offerings, and introduce innovative new features that further enhance the value it delivers to organisations and their networks well into the future.
